Thank you Nyonya for serving us for 20+ years, you are a cornerstone of my nyc. It may be the most authentic taste of Malaysia in the city. Both the food and hospitality are an oasis i visit regularly. You cant go wrong with the classics - roti canai, hainese chicken rice, nasi lemak, laksa, Malaysian Kopi, etc. The price is also right, where else can you get a delicious $11 meal? The cash only policy helps them keep prices where they are without sacrificing food quality. I highly support that.

Food was delicious and staff were very attentive. Didn't have to wait to be seated despite the restaurant being very busy due to Chinese New Year & Valentine's Day crowd. The restaurant was very family friendly, but also accommodating for couples.

I ate at Nyonya three times now and the food has been consistently great every time. At this point it's definitely one of my favorite spots in Chinatown. I love that the place is also quite spacious and can accommodate a lot of people! On one of their busier days, I only had to wait 15 minutes for a party of two. I tried many things from their menu but so far Sizzling Beef with Black Pepper Platter and their Prawn Mee are my favorite so far. The flavors for the Prawn Mee are just so unique. Unfortunately their drinks are very watered down, but it's not a big deal considering that their food is solid across the board.

Food: The Hainanese Chicken rice was tasty! Service: Friendly staff with quick service. Cash only Ambiance: The light and the furniture made it feel like in Southeast Asia

Cash only! "Authentic" Malaysian food, according to my Malaysian friend. Good prices (great lunch special menu), in a clean and quiet ambience that feels a little in between an upscale Chinese and Japanese restaurant (lots of dark wood). Lots of stir fries, noodles and coconut curry options. Huge menu. I'll be back to try more!

CASH ONLY!!! This place doesnt accept cards or other forms of payment. Tried roti canai(thin and crispy),sarat chicken,Malaysian noodles and kari ayam. Loved the food.Everything tasted wonderful. The place is huge with many tables. The food came out pretty quick. One negative is the staff could have better attitude towards customers.

The food is always great here. Fast service. Very authentic malaysian food. The price is very good to - its a nice place to go with a group of friends and try several dishes family-style. We got the roti-canai, and the rambutan: both of those were great. Also their nasi-goreng, hainanese chicken and beef rendang were delicious. The rendang especially was slow cooked for several hours - the meat was extremely tender.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC--there aren't a lot of Malaysian places where I am so this place is such a delight every time I've come here. The interior is simple, no frills but the food is always outstanding. Even though they have been very busy the times I have come, I've always been seated fairly quickly. Note that they are a cash only establishment--so definitely plan ahead! They have an extensive menu so I haven't been able to try it all. The roti canai is a must--it is crispy, airy, light and soft all at the same time and the dipping sauce it comes with is savory goodness and the perfect appetizer. To pair with our meal, we also ordered the Indian mee goreng which is a noodle stir fry as well as the beef rendang with a side of coconut rice. I'm not sure what spices go into the rendang but this is one of the best that I've had! Definitely block off time for a major food coma afterwards as it is a cozy comforting and flavor bomb of a meal. Oh how I wish Nyonya was closer!
